TITLE FOSSILISED CAVE BEAR PAW
DESCRIPTION Quite an impressive statement for the den or collection. This cave bear fossilised paw is 10.5 inches long, so slightly larger than a human male hand. Cave bears, Ursus Spelaeus, are now extinct, dying out because of the cold during the last Ice Age; but in their day they were larger than out brown bear, standing three metres tall and weighed anything up to one ton. This excellent example of a cave bear paw comes from the Brasov region of Romania.
