TITLE MELON SHELL
DESCRIPTION The melon shell, Melon Diadema, is sometimes referred to as a bailer shell and can be found right across the Indo Pacific region. Early sailors used to use them to bail out water from their boats. It is an extremely large sea snail, which sometimes produced pearls, and lived offshore on sandy bottom sea floors. These shells have a wonderful colour and beautiful flowing line.
