This is the smallest of all the bentwood dry measures that you may come across. It is in good original condition and clearly stamped by the Weights and Measures, "Half Pint. and E R with a crown, and the number 523 LCC." This indicates that it was used in London. Internally the side and the bottom of the measure are also stamped.
This size of measure was used for vegatable seed, for example peas. A rare find for collectors of gardening related items.
