TITLE MAIDS BELL
DESCRIPTION Installed in the larger Victorian houses, prior to the advent of electricity, was a system of bells used to summon the servants. Indeed there was a bell for every room and also one for the front door. Each one had a slightly different ring. Today they are very popular and are usually reinstated for the front door, attached to a bell pull located on the outside of the property.
