There are lots and lots of thing going on that are of interest in this snapshop of 19th Century life. You can almost hear the conversations between each of the groups of figures. There is noise and bustle, food and wine. This print is an engraving by Abraham Raimbach made in 1817 after a painting by Davis Wilkie titled The Rent Day. It needs a fresh card mount and a glazed frame to complete the picture.
