TITLE WIGTOWNSHIRE CREAM POT
DESCRIPTION The Wigtownshire Creamery Company, based in Stranraer, was very active in the late 19th Century. Cream was sold in these lovely stoneware ceramic pots. This example is quite large and has a lovely sepia print of a milkmaid holding her 3 legged milking stool and lugie (a coopered wooden container for milk.) These cream pots make great decoration in a modern country kitchen.
